Getting Our Communities Ready to Vote in November

NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY —
OUR COMMUNITY IMPACT

We were busy in September. The Hilton Head (SC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated celebrated National Voter Registration Day with simultaneous outreach at the Hilton Head Island and Bluffton Branch Libraries.

With 13 chapter members and 2 members from our local NAACP Branch serving across the two locations, we connected with our community through nonpartisan voter registration, education and engagement.

Together, we made an impact:

90 voter registration checks
4 voters registered
1 absentee ballot action
52 pledges to vote
100 voter encouragement postcards written
50 dental kits distributed

Our community outreach also included dental supplies courtesy of Delta Dental for student toiletry kits and National Voter Registration Day activities: 73 sample-size toothpastes, 85 dental flosses and 96 toothbrushes — 254 dental-care items in all.

Beyond the numbers were the conversations—neighbors stopping by, asking questions, checking their registration status and getting information to help them prepare for the upcoming election.

The success of the Hilton Head (SC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated’s L.I.N.K.ages to Prosperity program is made possible through meaningful partnerships with organizations and businesses that believe in investing in young people and strengthening our community.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry and the Colleton River Charitable Fund for their generous investment in L.I.N.K.ages to Prosperity. Their support helps us empower young leaders, strengthen our community, and build a more prosperous future by providing opportunities that encourage leadership, education, service, and personal growth.

We are also deeply grateful to J and J Ferro for their generous donation supporting *Links in Pink and our Chapter Programming Fund. Their generosity helps expand access to needed mammograms for underserved and uninsured members of our communities—locally and in Ghana—while also strengthening the programs and initiatives that allow our chapter to serve others.

These partnerships are more than financial contributions—they are investments in people, possibilities, and the future. When community-minded organizations and businesses come alongside The Links, Incorporated, we are able to turn vision into action and create lasting impact.
